GeoShack required a strategic re-platforming of their ecommerce systems that would integrate with an existing ERP and enhance the online and in-store experience for customers.

With over 25 years in the business, GeoShack is America’s largest distributor of leveling, alignment, measurement, guidance and grade control solutions. They are at the absolute forefront in innovation in a variety of industries, facilitating GPS automation and control of airborne survey drones and land-based heavy machinery.


With a wave of online competitors moving into GeoShack’s markets and a shift in client buying preferences, GeoShack knew it was time to make a change in order to stay on top of their industry. After examining their outside sales force, retail brick and mortar locations and their current online sales channels, they realized that in order to keep up with the competition, they would need more efficient means to serve their customers. GeoShack knew they needed to build a better online solution and integrate it with their ERP system and marketing stack, but they didn’t have an internal technology team with that level of expertise. GeoShack was in need of a trusted provider who could develop an e-commerce website that met their company’s high standards and expectations.


In order to create the e-commerce solution that they had in mind, GeoShack knew that Magento was the platform of choice. With Weidenhammer’s background and expertise as a certified Magento developer, GeoShack chose us as their team to replatform their e-commerce system and perform the required integrations.

Our first task for this project was planning out a strategic and reorganized e-commerce experience. Once this was laid out, we built a platform that would allow GeoShack to scale more easily, and converted their NetSuite SuiteCommerce website to our new platform. We then created a new website information architecture and fully integrated GeoShack’s e-commerce system to Magento 2.

In order to maintain GeoShack’s high standards and reputation, we conducted a thorough review of infrastructure requirements as well as customizations required for the sales and delivery workflows. We created a product that included information flows from GeoShack’s ERP SuiteCommerce directly to retail stores. Through these structures, retail stores receive all the necessary information for in-store pickups, transaction data and the most efficient customer service experience possible. Our finalized product provided the technology needed for a more streamlined customer buying and delivery experience while holding true to GeoShack’s mission for delivering best-in-class products and service.
